The Ministry of Digital Governance plans to unveil the Unified Property Registry, a digital system where all taxpayers must re-submit information about their real estate holdings by late February to early March, in hopes of automatically detecting unreported properties, inconsistencies in declared square footage, and tax discrepancies. By linking with TAXISnet, the Land Registry, and the Property Registry (MIDA), authorities will gain a complete and transparent record of property ownership.

The system will collect and validate key details, including:
– Land Registry Codes (KAEK)
– Property Identification Numbers (ATAK) from E9 forms
– Utility connections for electricity and water
– Building permits and legal proceedings
– Property insurance contracts
– Recipients of agricultural subsidies

While the Ministry will upload initial data, property owners must log in to the Unified Registry to verify its accuracy. If mistakes are found, they are required to correct them, as the responsibility for accurate records lies entirely with them.

Via the Unified Property platform, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) will increase monitoring and cross-checks to detect unreported assets, discrepancies in property sizes, and tax irregularities, with hefty fines for those who fail to comply with data verification regulations.
